More power behind your shop

A growing store.
A stronger foundation.

WooCommerce can ask more of your hosting as your shop grows. Product searches, customer accounts, carts and checkout all create work beyond serving a simple website.

Many of our WooCommerce customers use a VPS. It gives us more flexibility to configure the hosting environment and choose CPU, memory and storage around their store’s workload.

When a VPS makes sense

  • Busy periods with more shoppers and simultaneous checkouts
  • A growing catalogue, complex searches or product filters
  • Demanding plugins, subscriptions or external integrations
  • Scheduled imports, order processing and background tasks
  • A need for more control over server configuration

The right setup matters as much as the server size. We review your store, database, plugins and traffic before recommending resources, caching and a management plan. Cart, checkout and customer sessions need caching rules that preserve their individual data.

A well-configured shared plan can still suit a smaller shop. Moving to a VPS should answer a real need; it does not automatically fix slow plugins or inefficient database queries.

The server is the starting point

Choose the environment.
Agree the support.

A VPS gives you a separate operating-system environment and more flexibility than a shared hosting account. Configuration and ongoing management still need a clear plan.

Let’s agree what you need

  • Operating system and application stack
  • Control panel and any licence requirements
  • Migration, setup and security configuration
  • Backups, monitoring and restore arrangements
  • Ongoing management and support scope

Control-panel licences and managed services are agreed separately. They are not automatically included with the reference configurations above.

Built around your workload

A little more flexibility.

Growing websites and shops

Discuss a separate environment for a demanding WordPress or WooCommerce site, with resources selected around traffic and database activity.

Applications and integrations

A VPS can be configured for application runtimes and background services. Tell us about PHP, Node.js, queues or other requirements so we can scope the setup.

Several sites, one environment

Talk through your website portfolio, isolation needs and control-panel preferences. We can assess the resources and management arrangement.

Before you choose

Your VPS questions, answered.

Is a VPS a dedicated physical server?

No. It is a virtual server running on shared physical infrastructure, with its own operating-system environment and allocated virtual resources.

Does my WooCommerce shop need a VPS?

Not every shop needs one. A VPS becomes worth considering when traffic, simultaneous checkouts, a large catalogue or demanding integrations outgrow your current hosting. We assess the store and its bottlenecks first, then recommend a configuration and support scope.

Is management included?

We agree setup, management and support in your quotation. A VPS configuration alone does not include ongoing system administration, application maintenance or a control-panel licence.

Can I use DirectAdmin and Installatron?

Tell us what you want to manage. We can discuss a suitable control-panel setup, compatibility and the required licences before provisioning.

Can you configure Node.js or Redis?

A VPS offers more flexibility to install an appropriate software stack. We need to review the application, operating system, security and ongoing maintenance before agreeing deployment. This does not mean Node.js or Redis is included in shared hosting.

Why does my existing VPS have different specifications?

VPS model names and specifications can change between generations. Existing services retain their agreed configuration unless an upgrade or migration is arranged. We will check your actual resources before recommending a change.

Will my VPS be hosted in the UK?

We will confirm the available server location before ordering. A UK hosting service does not mean every configuration is located in a UK datacentre.
